Oh man…I worked for a department that sounds much like your experience. Yes, the people you work with can ruin the experience….I was stuck with a toxic, disgruntled piece of crap. I was lucky and had the ability to retire. Its really too bad because the job can be the best in the world. Don’t give up…you will find the right crew again if you want it.

Even better advice: Don't do crazy shit to get stuck in the first place. Especially if you're on your own. I travel from IL to AZ most winters to rockhound and hike thru the Sonoran Desert solo and am very cautious while trekking thru the desert environment. If I encounter a situation that gives me pause, I don't risk it. I'll unload the dirt bike and proceed with it if there's something worthwhile checking out up ahead. I need my truck to stay in 1 piece to get me back to IL. Still enjoy your vids, tho.

you trap like shit. the first thing you always do is throw a towel over it, then hood it asap. then use weak masking tape to tape up the feet and a nylon stocking for the body with more tape. of course its a red tail, so not really a huge deal. lastly, if the gerbil is fine, youre building the trap too big.
